The 1975 Blockbuster, JAWS, spawned not only many copycat films, known better as “rip-offs” but JAWS was also responsible for influencing movie posters and artwork, an influence still seen in movies today. Let this blog serve as an archive and a celebration of the many cinematic treasures, flops and classics that, if it were not for our beloved JAWS, would never have been created.
These films have brought me joy over the years. As a lover of history, I find myself constantly wanting to learn where directors get their ideas, what films influence filmmakers, and how popular films of any time period trigger remakes, reinterpretations, and just plain abysmal rip-offs.
